411 is not an area code. If you receive a phone call beginning with what appears to be area code 411 it is a spam call. Any phone number such as 411-xxx-xxx does not exist.

411 is officially an abbreviated phone number used to provide local directory assistance.

In the United States 411 is designated as a special use N11 code assigned and administered by the North American Numbering Plan Administrator (NANPA)which also assigns area codes.
